July 3rd and 4th

Building on the popularity of Reading’s inaugural PorchFest at Reading 375, we had planned an even bigger and better version for this year.

Obviously, that can’t happen.

To keep this new tradition alive for this year, we hosted a virtual PorchFest.  On July 3rd and July 4th, starting at 3PM, We presented eighteen performances over 15 hours of programming.

The entire program was shown on RCTV local access channels, RCTV’s Youtube channel, and on Facebook/Reading Porchfest 2020.

The Reading PorchFest 2020 Committee thanks the following performers/bands

Highway 49

The Bob Kramer Band

Samantha's Harvest Virtual 5K/10K Run/Walk

#RunApartTogether…at your own pace!

That’s right, we are still hosting our annual 5k Family Walk/Run and we hope you will join the fun!

You will have two weeks from June 1 – June 14 to complete the race! A bib will be mailed to you as a keepsake but not necessary for you to wear or have to run or walk.

As sad as we are not to have the 5K as usual, we are still able to do it this way and look forward to your help in meeting our goals to improve medical, educational and recreational programming for people with Down Syndrome of all ages.

Samantha’s Harvest works to raise awareness by providing funding for programs and organizations that directly enhance the lives of individuals with Down syndrome.

Samantha says it best: “People are sometimes afraid of people who are different than they are. I try to remember that the way to treat all people is the exact way you want to be treated.”
